Pamela Anderson, who played CJ Parker in the original Baywatch show, has been confirmed as part of the cast for the new Baywatch Movie. One of the film’s stars, Dwayne Johnson announced via social media, the adding of Anderson to the cast.

The remake film will be directed by Seth Gordon, who has worked in the industry since 2005 and has directed films such as Horrible Bosses, The King of a Kong, and produced films such as New York Doll, Undefeated, and Pixels.

Remaking a TV classic into the big screen

The film will be an action comedy based on the series of the 80’s and it is expected to bring to the theatres a whole generation marked by the show.

The cast includes Dwayne Johnson that will be playing Mitch Buchannon, Zac Efron as the role of Matt Brody and  Alexandra Daddario as Summer Quinn.

Pamela Anderson, played the role of CJ parker in the original 1989 tv show, in previous statements the star wasn’t sure if the film was actually going to happen. The star told E! News “ I’ll believe it when I see it, but I wish them the best. I’ve heard this for 15 years. Said the star.

Despite the previous statements, Anderson will be joining the filming as announced by one of its stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who posted the news on Instagram along with a picture of the two of them.

“She introduced the world to CJ Parker and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation for the most successful TV show of all time. A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home,” said the caption of the Instagram picture posted by Johnson.

And even though Anderson’s character CJ Parker will be played by Kelly Rohrbach, the actress will feature in the film with another iconic TV character, her old  cast partner David Hasselhoff who has also been confirmed in the cast.
