The first lady of the Unite States of America has joined the social media app Snapchat. She registered herself this Tuesday under #MichelleObama so that everyone can follow her, and internet users are fast, especially on developing trends. The first lady already has more than 5 million followers on both Twitter and Instagram.
She said she wanted to reach a younger audience by using social media apps. Michelle Obama has set herself on a crusade to encourage young girls to study that will take her to a lot of cities in a couple of countries overseas such as Morocco, Spain, and Liberia. When the president first arrived in power, his wife said she wanted to spread awareness on the lack of education of young girls around the world.
According to a spokesperson from the White House, the greatest wife in the United States is going to leave the country by the end of June. Her two teenage daughters will join her in an experience that could change their lives.
Meryl Streep, who was in the spotlight recently for acting a parody version of Donald Trump at a theater festival, is also going to join Michelle Obama on her trip. She and Freida Pinto, the famous Indian actress who is part of the Jungle Book’s cast, will meet the first lady in Africa. So far, it is an all women crusade, except for the security agents.
Michelle Obama is hanging out with a lot of celebrities
Days after opening her Snapchat account, Michelle Obama received the multi-talented British actor, James Corden at the White House. He made one with Justin Bieber where the Canadian pop artists showed his comedian side, and he even invited the ‘Chewbacca mask’ mom to do the bit, and the result was hilarious. Corden met the first lady on June 21 to record the video, and judging by previous work, and it is going to be fantastic.
Mrs. Obama is almost royalty in the United States, and her arrival to the social media world triggered a lot of hail messages. All from everyday citizens to wealthy celebrities got in line to say “Hi” to the first lady. Accordingly, she answered them all with her first post that reads “Oh hey! Look who just joined @Snapchat. Add: MichelleObama.”
Everyone was happy and supported Mrs. Obama for joining the social media, but the internet is a harsh place, and a lot of trolls have published tons of memes inspired by the first lady.
