Amazon, the American electronic commerce based in Seattle, Washington, that’s revolutionizing the way people buy all around the world, announced it’s going to release on Friday the Amazon Echo in 80 more countries. However, only 28 countries will be able to use the Amazon Music Unlimited, which offers around 40 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations.
Previously, only the countries where the Amazon Echo was available were the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Austria, India, and Japan. This time, the service will not only be expanded to countries in Europe and Asia but also in Latin-America and Africa. However, the users will have to talk English, German or Japanese.
This device works when the owner gives it a command – like “Alexa, play music.” When people show the Amazon Echo their preferences, it organizes a series of data to personalize their music stations or playlists. This service plays on the Amazon Music app, which can be downloaded on iOS, Android, desktop, and Fire TV.
Just like Netflix and other services, Amazon Music Unlimited offers three different plan options. The first one is the Echo plan, which allows only one people to use it on a single device. Then, the second is the individual plan. This one lets the principal user add up to 10 different devices – perfect to share it with friends or siblings that live in other places. However, if you want to stream the same household, Amazon also offers the Family plan, that allows six people.
Starting Friday, Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus will be available from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, or Amazon.com.
