Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has a new headquarter this year. The company just announced this Monday that the show will be taking place in Paris, the City of Lights.
A teaser video was released revealing the place of the 2016 edition. Angels are seen -very excited- getting and responding to text messages saying they will be packing to go to France. Even though it is typically done in New York City, it is not the first time doing it in another place; on 2007 it was in Los Angeles and on 2008 in Miami. It has not been the first time doing it outside the US either; on 2000 the show was in Cannes and in 2014 it was in London.
It will be broadcasted all over the world, in more than 190 countries, as always. It will also have the pink carpet interviews, the model profiles and a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the making of the show.
Besides the place, it is also known that Victoria´s Secret has a new partnership with Max Factor, a makeup company. Stella Maxwell -ambassador of the brand and a Victoria´s Secret Angel- said to be very excited about this alliance. Apparently, lashes will be an important part of this year´s show. The Max Factor False Lash Effect Epic was named the official mascara of the event.
Alongside Maxwell, other models already booked for the night are Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Jasmine Tookes, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill, Sara Sampaio, Lais Ribeiro, Josephine Skriver and Elsa Hosk.
The presence of models Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo, who just gave birth to two beautiful babies, have not been confirmed. Fans are also wondering if Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, who did their first appearance in the show last year, will be present this time as well.
There are still many other details that are unknown. They have not announced who will be the model with the honor of carrying the fantasy bra. The fantasy bra is a very important tradition, which means a lot to the one modeling it. Angels who have worn it in previous years are Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Miranda Kerr, among other brand stars.
Musical guests are yet to be announced too. Last year´s performances were by The Weeknd, Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding. Rumour has it that the possible performances will be by Gomez -once again- and Taylor Swift, who have also been in previous years (2013 and 2014).
