Apple’s music application iTunes might experience light changes on it’s new 12.4 version that include a permanent sidebar and easier navigation.

The web portal MacRumors, has published a series of screenshots of how the newest iTunes version will look like. The website got the preview through a source in the company. This new version will allow users to Apple Music in a more ‘friendly’ way, as a response to one of the main request of iTunes users.

iTunes 12.4

The screenshots published by MacRumors show a minimalistic iTunes that will feature a dropdown media picker .This tool allows users to switch from music to other options such as TV, show, movies, podcasts and others.

Previously iTunes had a series of icons at the top sidebar of the application that required users to navigate through the desire icons to choose a media to play.

This new menu is more user-friendly since it allows customization from the users according to their tastes. Whatever menu option the user doesn’t use it can be hidden from the main screen.

One of the primary changes of this new iTunes version is a permanent sidebar menu in the screen. Located at the the left side of the screen, users can now access different options of the music library, this option can also be customized to hid buttons.

In this new version, iTunes users can drop songs directly to the iTunes playlist located at the permanent sidebar, making it more accessible and easier.

Navigation options will be upgraded thanks to the simplified menu and the customizable options offered by this 12.4 version. The common music mini player at the top of the iTunes screen will have a new addition, users can now observe the ‘Up Next’ song that will be played by the application.

iTunes was originally design to sync Ipod’s with music on the user’s computer, but it has increased in an enormous way and is currently one of the world’s most used media players.

In 2014 the application had around 800 million active  accounts registered to it. Using it as their media player and downloadable digital music application.

The iTunes 12.4 version is expected to be launched at the beginnings of June.
