“Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” she told the magazine. “I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted,” according to E! online.

Although the cause of their decision is uncertain, Shelton continued with his life very soon. Since the divorce papers were presented, the male singer was seen wearing a relationship with his The Voice co-star Gwen Stefani, who also divorced Gavin Rossdale in August.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Lamber didn’t take it very well and left her very angry. The singer admitted in the interview that she has no regrets about her marriage to Shelton, also adding that for the moment, she is not looking for any type of date and much less a soon marriage.

Lambert also revealed that right now she only wants to live life fully, which could include up to spend nights crying on the porch, drinking whiskey and regret about everything. The singer also commented her life will now focus on music and even confessed she actually feels “sexier” when she performs.

“I feel the sexiest when I’m in my element, which is playing music,” she admits. “It doesn’t really matter what I’m wearing necessarily or where I’m at, just on stage with my band playing music is sort of where I feel like I belong and that makes me feel sexy.”
