Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trailer at 2016 Comic-Con

At Comic-Con on Saturday, Warner Bros unveiled another trailer for the Harry Potter prequel. The crowd in Hall H watched the performance of Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander. As the trailer shows, Redmayne portrays a British Ministry of Magic employee who makes a voyage to a wizarding convention in America. Once there, Redmayne’s character unleashes the fantastic beasts referred to in the title.

The trailer begins with Colin Farrell appearance who is attracted about the rumors of a possible mysterious arrival of some mythical beasts. Farrell’s character then finds out it has been Newt Scamander the culprit releasing all magic creatures contained inside his briefcase.

The new trailer depicts creatures in all different shapes and sizes. These fantastic beasts are perceived as a threat by 1926 New York’s citizens, who quickly combine efforts to capture them.

The film written by J.K. Rowling has previously unveiled trailers, but it seems like the reaction to the new one is more positive. What results most impressive about the footage presented at the 2016 Comic-Con is that people could see rare and endangered monsters escaping from a “trusty” inoffensive-weathered suitcase.

When J.K. Rowling first revealed the Harry Potter story would continue with a prequel, Potterheads got excited about the new film; an excitement that quickly began to wane once Warner Bros gave viewers a sneak peek of the sequel hitting theaters in November 18.

Attendants got a wand during Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them debut

During the panel in which the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trailer debuted, 6,000 audience members filling the Hall H got a magical wand to immerse fans on the in the wizarding world.

Redmayne kicked off the event with by showing up on stage holding his wand.

People dressed in costumes from the prequel film also took part during the event by helping Redmayne to pass around wands to the thousands in attendance.

Maybe the wands did their job because the energy and people’s acceptance of the new trailer was pretty magical.

In turn, Redmayne seems to need an extra magical help to deal with his nervous and anxiety about the upcoming launch. Last September, the Oscar winner told E! News he was really worried about the launch of the Harry Potter’s flick.

“The stakes are high because they were so good before. You don’t want to screw it up,” said Redmayne during an interview for E! News.
