Virtual Reality technology is advancing fast in the world, and McDonald’s is not the first fast food chain that has tried it. The fast food company Pizza Hut, recently tried to turn its pizza boxes into movie projectors called the “Blockbuster box” where users could transform the pizza box into a projector and through a code download a movie directly through the smartphone. Also, Mattel decided to rejuvenate the View- Master brand for a new generation, with the View-Master VR, also compatible with smartphones and opening the kids a world of education with technology.

The fast food chain believes that Virtual Reality is “ a really exciting opportunity to connect families in digital times” Jeff Jacket marketing director of Mcdonald’s Sweden says tells AdFreak “ Parents can learn more about their children’s knowledge and experience of the digital world”

The Happy Goggles will be available at select McDonald’s locations in Sweden for the promotional event, starting on March 5 until March 12. Although this promotion can be extended. Unlike the Google Cardboard that costs around 15$, Happy Goggles comes in 4.10$ and it includes the happy meal.
