The new LEGO Batman Movie Trailer shows a not so lonely Batman

This Friday was released by Warner Bros Pictures the official trailer for their new LEGO movie, now starring Batman as the principal character. This premiere seems like having quite the right timing.

The Warner company is taking advantage of the popularity that Disney´s Doctor Strange and Dreamworks Animation´s Troll are having in the cinemas across the world. This new project embraces the best of both worlds: the popular superhero theme and kid-targeted animated films.

The trailer reveals a definite change in the stereotypic image that most people see in “The Dark Knight.” The common myth that surrounds Batman is the loneliness in which he is immersed when fighting crime, specifically in the latest content that has been released, both Christian Bale and Ben Affleck’s performances.

However, in this new perspective, we are in front of a new Batman (Will Arnett repeats in his previous role) that is forced to accept help to take down the Joker (Zach Galifianakis) successfully. The official synopsis exposes some details about this matter:

“But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.“

Alongside with Arnett and Galifianakis, there is the participation of Michael Cera as Dick Grayson/Robin (his new undesirable partner), Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth and Mariah Carey as the major of Gotham City, all below the direction of Chris McKay (Robot Chicken).

The script for this film was written by Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride & Prejudice & Zombies), Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers (both of whom worked on the Spider-Man: Homecoming screenplay)

The LEGO Batman Movie comes out on February 10, 2017. Meanwhile, the hype continues to grow among both Batman and animated films aficionados.
