Grand Old Party contenders about to attend decisive debate in New Hampshire

Saturday night will be the moment when the Grand Old Party contenders will expose their ideas to Americans, on the road to presidential elections. ABC will be in charge of broadcasting the debate between Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and other Republican candidates, in New Hampshire at 8 p.m. Eastern time. On Tuesday, decisive primary elections are going to take place in the same state.

“It will be an incredible evening!” tweeted Trump on Friday who said he is looking forward to Saturday’s debate because he has so many things to say and “so much at stake.”

Candidate Trump did not attend the previous GOP debate in Iowa because Fox News declined to give him $5 million.

Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses, is expected to be the main rival of Trump in the debate. In the last days, the junior senator from Texas has been making fun of Trump for what he calls “Trumpertantrums.”

The junior senator from the state of Florida, Marco Rubio, who finished third in Iowa, is also dominating the New Hampshire polls alongside Trump and senator Cruz. Analysts seem to suggest that other candidates will attack him at the debate because of the place he’s getting at polls.

“This isn’t a student council election, everybody. This is an election for president of the United States. Let’s get the boy in the bubble out of the bubble,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, 53, said this week, when asked about Marco Rubio, 44, to whom he referred as “a media creation, too young and too inexperienced to be president,” earlier this week.

55th Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, Ohio governor John Kasich and former Florida governor Jeb Bush are the other candidates that will attend the debate. However, they do not have a representative place at polls. Christie said on Thursday to The Washington Post that he needed to beat Jeb and Kasich in New Hampshire, otherwise, he would have to think “long and hard” whether he goes forward or not.

Analysts have said that Chris Christie would need to present a set of powerful ideas at the New Hampshire debate or he would be left behind, since Rubio, Bush and Kasich have already better places at polls.

Ben Carson, the seventh candidate, will seek to attract evangelical voters in New Hampshire. According to the retired neurosurgeon candidate, Ted Cruz used “dirty tricks” in Iowa to steal votes, since he apparently spread false recorded messages and emails among voters, saying that Carson was retiring from the presidential race.
