The Walt Disney Studios company has premiered the first trailer for their new ‘Beauty and the Beast‘ movie. Twenty-six years passed since the debut of the original animated film, and this year Disney presents this new live-action movie that assures to tell the same story, but now with current technological resources.

This is not even the only project that goes with this new Disney vision of renewing old cartoon movies into intense and vivid live-action films that are supported by astonishing visual effects. In the trailer, the audience can enjoy watching the famous set of humanized crockery with pretty amazing VFX. The soundtrack for the film appears to be same iconic material that was used in the 1991 movie, according to what it’s in the trailer.

Alongside Beauty and the Beast, Disney is preparing the remake of the 1998 animated film ‘Mulan’ to be released on 2018. Other projects without confirmed release dates are Pinocchio, Dumbo, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, among others.

About five months ago, Disney released a series of short clips and images that began the hype for all animated film fans and Disney’s aficionados. In these teasers, the public got to see a glimpse of the scenery to be used in the movie and also a quick listening of the music themes.

In this trailer, it’s presented the essence of the story, which at least for now looks the same as the original. It begins with the incarceration of Bella’s father and proceeds to show the fantastic castle and the particular characters inside of it, to conclude with the romance between Bella and the Beast.

Cast, Crew, and Release Date

Emma Watson from the Harry Potter saga will be in charge of portraying the great Bella in this new film. Downtown Abbey’s Dan Stevens will be the Beast, Prince Adam on this project, while Luke Evans (Dracula; The Hobbit) will personify the evil Gaston.

The movie features as well Josh Gad as LeFou, Kevin Kline as Bella’s father, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Ewan McGregor as Lumiere. All of these talented performances will be under the direction of Bill Condon (Chicago and the Twilight saga).

The persons in charge of the script are Stephen Chbosky, author of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, both the book and its movie  adaptation, Evan Spiliotopoulos, writer of Hercules and The Huntsman: Winter’s War, and Condon himself

This new ‘Beauty and the Beast’ film will be released worldwide on March 17, 2017, and the public will wait for more trailers until then.
