Xbox one wants to buy back your games in exchange for store credit

Redmond, Washington – A new Microsoft survey asked people if they will “sell back” their digital Xbox games to Microsoft for 10% of the purchase price in return for Xbox Store credit.

The survey suggests that the company might be thinking about introducing a system that allows players to get some money back for the digital video games.

“If the console digital games store for the console you owned offered customers the option to “sell back” their digital games to the store for 10% of the purchase price in store credit, would you be interested in such an offer?” the survey asks.

This feature, if it is really going to happen, would be giving store credit rather than real money to gamers willing to turn their digital games back. This kind of new feature might also be a great way of making digital sales on the home console more interesting, and both platform holders have been interested in convincing more gamers to move away from physical packages.

The survey is not a clear sign that the idea will be implemented in the coming months, but Microsoft has been interested in upgrading the capabilities of the Xbox One based on the feedback that users are offering and on their votes.

Microsoft Spring Sale begins on March 20

Microsoft is launching their annual spring sale on March 20. The sale begins giving 50% off in all Xbox One consoles. The price starts at $299 and ends at $449 for the Xbox One Elite. As far as we know, all Xbox One bundles qualify, including recent release such as the 1TB Xbox One Tom Clancy’s The Division Bundle that launched last month, even the upcoming bundle with Quantum Break (white Xbox One unit).

The $50 off in consoles is not the only special threat Microsoft is offering. From now until March 28th, on top of the $50 discount, you’ll get the option of one free game from a selection of three if you buy a Xbox One console at Microsoft Store. Users can choice among different games including, Watch Dogs, The Crew, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
