This is the second body of a dead woman found in St. Charles Parish during the last month

On Sunday April 24 police found the decomposed body of a 16-year-old girl, called Jorion White. The teenager had been left in a St. Rose drainage ditch. This week, police arrested the boyfriend of the girl’s mom suspected of murder. The man is a suspect for reportedly using his vehicle to get rid of the cadaver. Yet it wasn’t so effective, as the body was found two days later.

St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne gave a news conference after the suspect’s arrest. Sheriff Champagne said that officers were confident about the decision of arresting the main suspect. The man identified as Daniel Lee Beckley, is 40 years old, as reported by The Advocate.

Police has found physical and forensic evidence that links the man to the murder of Jorion White. It was reported that her mom was working overnight, when she left her daughter in her boyfriend’s house, to be taken care of.

Officials refused to provide more details about injuries in the body of the girl. However they affirmed they had found video footage from the area. The recorded footage provides “meaningful and substantial” information, according to The Advocate.

“She was a perfect young lady. She liked to have her hair combed, she liked to have her dress all nice, and they found her in pink rollers. That is not something that she would normally go out of the house in.” said Katrice Reid, godmother of White, according to The Advocate.
