A video on Facebook shows moments after a shooting

This Tuesday morning, two women were shot and one of them, Donesha Gantt recorded the moments after the shooting and posted them on Facebook.

The 18 year old, Donesha Gantt was outside a Burger King in Opa Locka, Florida, along with her mother and another relative. The three women were inside a car at the drive through of the restaurant when they were shot at 9 am. They rapidly got out of the parking lot and headed south. The windows of the car could be seen completely covered with bullet holes.

Right after the shooting, Donesha used the new Facebook Live feature to tell what had happened. She said to her mother that she loves her, who was also shot at the incident.

“Mama I’m bleeding.”, she yelled. “I feel like I’m going to pass out. Mom I just got shot three times and If i die…I’m good.”

With her eyes covered in tears, she said: “God forgive me for all my sins. God forgive me for everything.”

In the video, she also mentions that she knows her shooter: “I know it’s crazy but I know who shot me. But he’s good, he’s good, he shot my homegirl too.”

As sirens were approaching, she continued yelling: “I said I’m bleeding. Tell them to help me. I need some help.”

David Chiverton, the interim city manager, said it was a targeted attack: “According to preliminary investigation, it does look like they were directly targeted.” He added: “We take it very seriously and we are aggressively investigating and pursuing every opportunity to bring these culprits to justice,”.

Surveillance video from the parking lot shows two men walking up to the Burger King. Moments later, both men could be seen running away.

Donesha’s family said her mother underwent surgery and is recovering. Mother and daughter are together in the same room. The third woman was discharged from the hospital Tuesday night.

After being recovered, Gantt posted on Facebook, “BLESSED. All I can say is blessed. 4 wounds and I’m blessed. Love you Ma.”

The search for the shooter or shooters still continues.
