Netflix releases first sneak peek for “Gilmore Girls” reboot

Nine years after the last time we saw Rory and Lorelai Gilmore together, Netflix has released on Monday the first images from Gilmore Girls reboot. Seven pictures are out all over the internet to make fans speculate what they think is going to happen when the hit series comes back.

Even though we don’t have a confirm plot or premiere date yet, Gilmore Girls is returning to Netflix soon. The four-part, 90-minute episodes will debut sometime this year as Netflix announced that the revival would be released in 2016. According to TVLine, production isn’t going to wrap until May 10 which means we can expect either a fall or winter launch date.

Another thing we can expect to see is almost the entire cast reunited as Melissa McCarthy is now on board. Unfortunately, not every character can come back. Edward Herrmann who played Rory’s Grandfather passed away a couple of years ago.

What do the pictures show?

Seven pictures might not seem like a lot or not even enough for impatient fans but they are enough to make people talk about what they think is happening around them. Just a few pictures tell us some new things are around the corner but other pretty familiar are here to come back.

For instance, there is a picture of Emily pouring some whiskey as she talks to Rory in what seem to be another Friday Night dinner. A picture of a town meeting with surprised residents of Stars Hollow and another of Luke and Lorelai walking holding hands are those with the familiar aspects.

But on the other hand, there are some new and intriguing things. The most interesting one must be one where Rory is standing in front of a class. Does it mean she gig a gig into teaching?

Other picture shows what appears to be an audition for the town’s presentation of Stars Hollow: The Musical, where some familiar characters are presented, but other not so much.
