Insight on the Jungle Book’s film adaptation

With an impending new release on The Jungle Book film adaptation, getting an insight on what Jon Favreau will bring to theaters on April 15. The feature will be mostly comprised of CGI as Favreau is set to bring the animated tale from Rudyard Kipling to live on its latest reboot.

The Jungle Book tells the story of a young boy who gets stranded in a jungle where plenty of animals are part of his journey into adulthood. The animated cartoon from 1967 offers both the director and the cast member for the movie with sufficient content illustrating each character’s personality. Among the cast for the new reboot for Kipling’s classic fables, there’s Bill Murray as Baloo, Ben Kingsley as mysterious Bagheera and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, to name a few.

A promising rookie actor named Neel Sethi will portray the main character of the film version of the Jungle Book, Mowgli. The child who lives among animals in the Indian forest is sure to capture viewers’ intrigue at the very least, considering it’s the first adaptation for the big screen. Without mentioning the series of short fables originally written by Rudyard Kipling was published in 1894.

And this could have a rather old aspect to it that many viewers could consider as boring, yet people who grew up with the animated series of the Jungle Book are in for a treat. Even though the stories are considered old-fashioned, the latest CGI will make the characters jump out of the two-dimensional plane, and with them, their stories.

The animal’s cast presents an opportunity

Considering every character represented with an animal has their own agenda, Mowgli’s adventures can be experienced on a whole different level thanks to special effects. The success of the new Jungle Book film will depend on the cast’s ability to get inside character – which should be easy considering most of them could enjoy the first animated cartoon – as well on the director’s approach to the story.

For what it’s worth, the trailer for the latest film adaptation to Kipling’s fables shows promise as the Jon Favreau succeeded in creating the atmosphere for the movie. Special effects and CGI will allow viewers to submerge into the jungle where unexpected adventures await Mowgli along his pack of animal friends, which include a bear, a panther, a snake and many others.

Yet for every movie, there has to be a villain, and the Jungle Book presents Shere Khan, a tiger that has sworn to take revenge on Mowgli. Fans will still have to wait for the film’s release on Friday to see how the story develops with Favreau pulling the cords, as well as how well actors portrayed their peers in the movie.
