Huawei P10 and P10 Plus price and specs leaked

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus specs and price have leaked weeks before their launch day, showing what’s to come for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer that has secured a firm position in U.S. markets.

The P10 will be the company’s flagship smartphone to compete against Samsung and other Android manufacturers. The expectation is that the P10 will pose as a significant upgrade compared to the P9.

What we know so far: Price, battery, and basic system specs

Apparently, there will be three different versions of the Huawei P10, these being 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage versions. On the other hand, the Huawei P10 Plus will come in 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM +128GB storage versions.

The leak, which was initially sent to PhoneArena by email, reveals that the 4GB + 32GB version of the P10 would cost around $500 and the 4GB + 64GB would cost around $600. The 6GB version would cost around $682, all depending on currency fluctuations at the time of launch.

The P10 will leave behind its fingerprint sensor and will bring back a physical home button. It will feature a HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor alongside a 3,100 mAh battery. In contrast, the P10 Plus does have its fingerprint sensor.

The device is expected to have a curved 5.5-inch curved screen, and a rear camera manufactured by Leica. Both devices will also employ Android 7.0 Nougat paired with Huawei’s native apps.

PhoneArena states that there is no evidence that the received information is truthful.

“We caution you that there is no verification that the information printed on the document is legitimate, so we do suggest that you read this with your cynical eye, and take this story with a grain of salt,” wrote Alan F for PhoneArena.com.

The Huawei P9 was labeled as perhaps the best smartphone that the company has released so far, although it was still at the competing league of LG, HTC, and Sony in western markets. The P9 had the advantage that it was significantly cheaper than most flagship smartphones of similar spec range. It was a vast improvement over the P8, making the P9 slightly larger than an iPhone 6S but having a 5.2-inch screen.

It featured a HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor, 3 to 4GB RAM, 32 or 64GB storage, a 3000mAh battery, a 12MP rear camera, and Android 6.0. Its screen has 1080p Full HD resolution while being able to extend battery life without sacrificing functionality. On processing power, the P9 scored 6400 in multi-core tests, which compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7’s 6542 makes the P9 a device worthy of consideration.

Reviewers are expecting more information on the P10 when Huawei hosts its Mobile World Congress on February 26.
