The business investor discussed several subjects with media correspondents and the general public, that included current technology, future technology, Tesla’s electric cars and philosophical theories.

Discussing technology hypothesis

The technology expert was asked by a member of the public about his beliefs on the current simulation hypothesis proposed by Nick Bostrom, a philosopher from 2003.  The hypothesis proposes that since the universe has sufficiently advanced civilizations, it’s most likely that the earth and our reality is a simulation or a game.

“I’ve had so many simulation discussions it’s crazy, in fact, it got to the point that my brother and I agreed that we would ban such conversations if we were ever in a hot tub,” said Musk in the conference while joking about his discussions on the subject with his brother

Yet the business owner made several points on the matter assuring that the chances of the world, as we know it, is not a part of a simulation are really small. In fact according to Musk, there’s one in a billion chance that this is not a simulation.

The business magnate also addressed the evolution of current technology, assuring that the gigantic step in technology will eventually make humanity is unable to distinguish between games and reality.

Musk also assured he wants Apple to start developing electrical so Tesla inc can have competition.

“Apple will probably make a good car and be successful, they should have embarked on the car project sooner,” said Musk at the conference.
