Bob Dylan 2016 Summer Tour & New Album Release

On Monday, Bob Dylan announced the dates for a summer tour across the United States as well as internationally, where he will be promoting a new album called Fallen Angles.

As the rock legend, he is, Dylan doesn’t show signs of slowing down after a rather profitable career dating back to the early 60s, as he’s ready for a new tour starting on June 4 in Woodinville, Washington.

The famed singer-songwriter is scheduled to play at the concert venue in the Berkshires on July 7, with the added benefit of hosting special guest Mavis Staples. Soul icon Mavis Staples will be the opening act on the summer tour, providing the concerts with a great musical combination. Both Dylan and Staples have known each other for years as he even got to court and even propose marriage to the soul singer.

So it’s safe to assume that both Dylan and Mavis share history together, making them to better understand themselves regarding the musical bond. This would mark the first time for Bob Dylan to return to Tanglewood for over two decades, so it’s no wonder the summer tour has been long awaited for fans. Pre-sale tickets to some of the shows from Dylan will be available for sale on Tuesday, March 8 for American Express members.

For those who don’t own an American Express card, the waiting period will last 3 more days as the tickets to the general public for select concerts will begin Friday, March 11. Bob Dylan is ambitious on his concert schedule, as he’s planned to perform in California, Oregon, Colorado, Virginia, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maine.

The tour plans for 2016 will begin this April in Japan where Bob Dylan will be playing 13 shows alongside his band. After rocking in Japan, the legendary songwriter is getting back to the United States where he’ll be performing 27 shows with Mavis Staples.

A bold move from the renowned songwriter, Dylan has set the ground to support his new record titled Fallen Angels following his last album released in 2015 Shadows in the Night. Worthy of recognition, Dylan has shown he still got what it takes to perform an ambitious summer tour as he continues to take his 50-year career to the top.
