Two Atlanta teenagers found dead behind a local Publix store

Roswell police just identified the bodies of two teenagers behind a Publix supermarket around 6 a.m on Monday.  The community remains in shock, as for the motive and suspects, police continue to investigate.

The bodies of two seventeen-years-old were found behind a local Publix store, and authorities have identified the teenagers as Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis. According to local reports, they both attended local high schools. A delivery truck was arriving at the backside of the store when the bodies were found.

Police investigations are treating the happening as a double homicide since both teenagers have severe head trauma. Roswell’s community remains in shock, and surveys are still to determine why the teenagers were at the location.

Double homicide

According to preliminary reports, Natalie Henderson was a student at Roswell High School and Carter Davis attended River Ridge High School. Both of the teenagers were about to start their last year as high school seniors.

A local delivery truck arrived at the Publix located in Roswell’s King Plaza shopping center, located 25 miles from downtown Atlanta, around 6 a.m, to find the bodies lying on the back of the supermarket.

Although autopsies are soon to be made, local police enforcement is treating the happening as a double homicide, given the injuries on the teenager’s bodies, that appeared to be friends. The local police have recovered two vehicles, apparently owned or related to both teenagers.

The investigation is being held by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation along with the Sandy Springs Police crime scene investigations. The primary objective is looking for witnesses and surveillance cameras, to gain information. Local civilians, assure to be in shock after the happening, according to statements obtained by CBS the neighborhood tends to be quiet and safe.

Both of the teenager’s high schools have issued a statement expressing their condolences to families and friends. As they offer counseling and mourning therapy services, for anyone who might need it.

According to a statement made by Carter’s high school, he was an excel student and a great player on the field.  Meanwhile, Henderson’s school assured she was a great friend to many in the school.

“We all are devastated by the tragic news, Carter excelled in the classroom. Today he should have been enjoying the first day of his senior year of high school,” said a spokesperson from the Cherokee County School District

More information will be obtained after investigations are finished
