Adele’s ’25’ album is now on sale without presence in streaming

Adele’s new album, “25”, was released worldwide on Friday; industry analysts are expecting it to be the biggest album release of the year even though it will not be on streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer.

The Taylor Swift album “1989” was not available for Spotify, as the singer didn’t wanted it to be transmitted for free, and like Swift, Adele did the same with her hit album “21”, released in 2011, which sold 30 million copies worldwide and won six Grammy awards, being available on CDs, but not for streaming.

“My own personal view is that record is so massive it wouldn’t make any difference” if it were available for streaming or not, industry analyst Keith Jopling told Reuters.

In a message on her Twitter account on Friday, Adele did not mention the decision not to stream the album but said she hoped fans would enjoy the music. The singer said: “The last month has been a whirlwind. It’s literally taken my breath away. I hope you enjoy the record as much as I enjoyed making it for you.”

Columbia Records sent 3.6 million physical copies of the new album in the United States, the largest number of new release CDs sent in the last decade. The album has caused many expectations among the public, that even the first single from the album, “Hello”, topped the US having been downloaded 1.1 million times in its first week, even advance sales of “25” made him in the best-selling album in British and American sites Amazon.com

“I think the odds are in favor of “25” being a huge success because there’s so much anticipation,” British-based music industry consultant Mark Mulligan of MIDiA Research said.

Journalists who had access to the advanced copies, pulled out his critical side and said that while “25” would not have the same seminal experience as the one with the album “21”,  fans would not disappointed on it.
