Acer introduces new Windows PC with 5 hour-battery life

Taipei, China – The Taiwanese computer company Acer Incorporated (TPE: 2353) has unveiled the Aspire Z3-700, a light-weight, all-in-one PC that offers 5 hours built-in battery backup.

Presented this week at Taipei, the new PC is built around Pentium or Celeron processors with a 17.3-inch screen and is described as an all-in-one PC with the benefit of portability to move around the house. The computer has a built-in battery that will last up to five hours, which is good for watching movies at home, but the short battery life makes it less convenient for road trips.

It also has a full HD (1920 x 1080) 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen, which supports a stylus. Windows 10

All presented devices by Acer at Taipei are built around Microsoft’s new Windows 10 operating system and technologies such as the Cortana personal assistant, Microsoft Edge browser and Continuum, which lets Windows phones dock to a large display, keyboard and mouse.

“We worked closely with Acer to help ensure their devices would make the most of Windows 10,” Terry Myerson, executive vice president of devices at Microsoft, said at the event as reported by ABC News.

Microsoft also stated that ten weeks after the update, more than 110 million people have upgraded to Microsoft 10 to enjoy the Cortana integration which allows users to talk to their computers to pull up files or search information or enjoy the Continuum feature to seamlessly move between PC and smartphone.
