This weekend, Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host more than 400,000 people to paint the town in red for the 20th annual installment of EDC. During the three-night music and entertainment festival, more than 250 musicians will liven up the atmosphere of the largest dance music event in North America.

According to Pasquale Rotella, founder of the concert firm Insomniac that promotes the festival, the EDC was designed to last until the body drops, but nowadays EDC’s extent is something he never saw coming.

“It started at such a micro level, when EDM wasn’t even around. Now it’s at a place that we’ve always dreamed of having it. But the dream keeps growing, and dance music is always thinking about what’s next.”

The 2016 EDC experience will receive revelers with a scenery composed by art installations, fire-breathing obelisks and attendant could enjoy the show dancing under the glow of million of LED lights.

Moreover, every year the EDC surprises its fans with innovations and the 2016 festival will not be the exception. It is expected that a full-festival live-broadcast, a VIP Beauty Bar, and a log flume water ride will be included as part of the new attractions.

The live stream will be available on EDC’s Facebook page, Youtube and Insomniac web page. The live stream option is available to share somehow the experience with those who cannot attend the show. Everyone can enjoy the EDC Las Vegas via PC, smartphone or smart TV.

The festival will run from Friday 17 to Sunday 19.

The concert firm is currently working on the expansion of the show to Japan, India, Brazil, and Mexico. Rotella revealed that the concept of the show will be expanded, but it will maintain the same essence that inspired the project since its creation.

Regarding one of the countries that will soon host the show, India, Rotella said that considering the large-scale festivals and the dance music market of the country, India is a perfect place to globalize the EDC experience.

So far, the EDC rave has been held only in American territory and tickets usually sell out before announcing the schedule of events.
