When Bobokulova arrived at the subway entrance, she pulled the severed girl’s head out of a bag and began yelling.

According to the local media, Bobokulova shouted: “I hate democracy. I am a terrorist. I want you dead. ‘You have become so hardened, you have eliminated so many of us. Look I am a suicide bomber, I will die, doomsday will come in a second.”

She also shouted the Arabic phrase “Allahu Akbar” which means God is great.

The little girl was identified as Anastasia Meshcheryakova whose headless body was found by firefighters inside her cot in the burned-out apartment. Her body was also found dressed in her night clothes.

Bobokulova was finally arrested

Police officers were able to arrest the woman by tackling her to the ground.

The ABC report on the topic says Russia’s Investigative Committee stated that the woman was being treated by psychiatric experts and did not seem to understand the meaning of her actions. Apparently, she later told the police that she had killed the girl because her own husband had been unfaithful to her.

The woman will undergo psychiatric tests as she seemed deranged. There were “signs of a violent death” in the apartment and the child’s murder was “monstrous and inexplicable,” Russian federal child welfare commissioner Pavel Astakhov said in a statement posted on the agency’s website, as reported by New york Daily News.

The case is being treated as a criminal incident, and not as terrorism.
