Princess Kate and Prince William celebrated Princess Charlotte’s first birthday, and the Duchess of Cambridge posted 4 pictures of the princess at Kensington Palace’s Instagram account.

Keen photographer Kate also shared photos she took of little Charlotte being cradled by her proud brother Prince George at home at Anmer Hall when she was 5 weeks old.

The Royal Photoshoot

The pictures were taken at Anmer Hall, after the tour of India and Bhutan. In the pictures, Princess Charlotte wore a little pink cardigan with a matching pink bow in her hair, where she can be seen pushing her walker across a lawn. In other, she is gazing thoughtfully at the camera and appears relaxed and happy, maybe because her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, was the one doing the “royal photo shoot.” The little princess is also seen leaning on a wooden chair, wearing a cream cardigan over a blue dress with a blue ribbon clip in her hair and the final photograph its shows a startling resemblance to George as she climbed on a wicker chair, playfully glancing back towards the camera.

The Cambridge royalty also released the images this morning on their Twitter account, tweeting “The Duke and Duchess are happy to be able to share these family moments, ahead of their daughter’s first birthday.”

With the princess being fourth in line to the throne, she will be an important figure in the monarchy in the years to come.

Prince George’s bathrobe

On Friday, some pictures of the Prince meeting the president and wife Michelle in his pajamas were broadcast around the world last Friday night after the couple spent an evening with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace.

Obama during the White House Correspondents’ dinner described Prince George as “adorable”. “Last week Prince George showed up to our meeting in his bathrobe. That was a slap in the face. A clear breach of protocol,” said the outgoing US President about that day.
