Brandon Williams Jones, 27, was charged after he was arrested last October, after revealing and pointing a concealed handgun at his male neighbor at North Hills, as it was confirmed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office through a press release.

According to authorities, he now faces the charge of assault with a firearm, which counts as a felony. He was also charged with two misdemeanors, both regarding to exhibiting a concealable firearm in public.

Jones’ charges

On October 30, 2015, Jones was involved in a dispute with his neighbor as he was on his girlfriend’s house. It is not the first time that an incident of this sort occurs. Presumably, Brandon Jones also exposed a knife and exhibited a hidden handgun this year, on March 24, during a different dispute with the same person.

Jones’ defense stated that the gun in his possession was in complete legal circumstances. They argue that Brandon Jones never left his girlfriend’s private property and they “felt that they were under threat in a dispute with [their] neighbors.” It is known that Jones did not fire the gun, nor strike the victim with it; but pointing it at him constitutes a justifiable reason for charging him with assault.

Actor Brandon Jones plays Andrew Campbell on Pretty Little Liars, a series aired on Freeform, previously known as ABC Family. He has also made appearances on 2 Broke Girls, The Fosters and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 2.

Jones is currently facing over five years in a state prison if he is convicted of all the crime charges. Authorities are to perform further investigations, but because of the fact that there have been several incidents of this kind, it is hard to think that Jones will leave the court without a severe sentence. Brandon Jones’ press representatives stated that they are confident that he will be exonerated of most -if not all- charges.
