Germany – Porsche unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show an encouraging electrical concept called “The Mission E”. The German car manufacturer stated that the electric car concept has a range of 310 miles and will hit from 0 to 62 mph in just 3 seconds, making it better than the Tesla Model S.
The Mission E battery can achieve 80 percent charge in less than 20 minutes. Moreover, at the event, Porsche showed how a future model of an electrical car with this brand new concept would look like. So far, The Tesla Model S was the only electric car with that capacity. However, Tesla’s figures are below Porsches’ new concept. Tesla Model S has a range of almost 300 miles and hits 60 in 2.8 seconds.
Tesla’s model has a very good reputation with experts and with their users. According to consumer rating agencies across the world, the Model S is one of the best vehicles ever made. Matthias Müller, CEO of Porsche stated that he has “Great respect for Tesla. They are the only one who have brought an electric vehicle on the market that you have to take seriously.” Rapidnews Network, reported.

Some details about the concept were not very clear. About the battery details, we do not know more than it uses “the fastest lithium-ion technology and extends from the front axle to the rear” just like the Model S.” according to Wired.
Regarding the propulsion system, it is derived from that of the 919. The sporty car includes two motors which generate nearly 600 horsepower and drive all four wheels. The car has a system which aims to improve the stability at speed, like the one used in the 918 Spyder, 911 GT3 and 911 TurBO.
In addition, Porsche has an innovating vision with a 3-D display that moves as the driver shifts position, an eye-tracking, gesture control and what’s more, holograms. Also there is a camera included in the rearview mirror which is capable of decode if the driver is in a good mood. It also displays a matching emoticon in the dashboard. Apparently, Porsche wants to remind you that you are probably spending a great time in an amazing car.
The price for this impressive vehicle its unknown. Wolfgang Hatz, Porsche global head of research and development said “It will be competitive, the Porsche is always worth the price.” Now it is time to introduce this vehicle into real life.
