The Game

According to the team Blackroom is a first person perspective game (FPS) that returns to a “fast, violent and masterful play on the PC” says the game’s Kickstarter page.

The game takes place in a distant future at a site of one of the leading technology companies named “Hoxar” the company was able to develop a technology that allowed humans to be anywhere with their holographic reality.

All of the different universes and world from the holographic reality are inside on the giant blackroom. The game starts when a glitch in the technology happens and people of the city start seeing different things and the dimensions merge with each other.

The main character is Santiago Somora an engineer sent to fix the blackroom’s glitch, who nearly loses his life when the glitch in the system affects him. He will have to fight in different blackroom’s environments to figure out what’s wrong.

Gamers will be able to play in different multiplayer modes that include: co-op, 1-on1 deathmatch and a mix of different locations that include “hardcore military sims, hellish infernos, and interstellar space” says the team’s Kickstarter page.

With different skills that include rocket jumping, strafe jumping and circle strafing along with a full set of weapons gamers will be merged into the new game.

A pause on Blackroom

Creators announced that the Kickstarter campaign has been put on hold since they need to complete the gameplay demo.

“Simply put, this will take more time than the Kickstarter has left, so we’ve decided to suspend the campaign and launch a new one when the gameplay demo is ready. We believe, however, it is the right choice” Said the team in a statement on their Kickstarter page

The team thanked the backers and the people who had already donated to the campaign while telling them that they will be achieved with honor backer prices for the next campaign.

The demo is expected at the end of the year.
