From gaming desktops to a new gaming notebook, and even more, machines were unveiled at a global Acer event in New York City. Acer’s new roster consists of the Switch Alpha 12 notebook, Aspire S 13 notebook, the Aspire R 15 notebook, TravelMate P658 notebook, the Chromebook 14 for Work, the Predator 17 X, and the Predator G1 desktop.

Acer’s Chromebook: The best Chromebook?

For sure! Acer’s first Chromebook compliant it’s included with Chrome for Work and it’s also the fastest Chromebook on the market –claimed by its makers, which features an Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, also including a 1080p Full HD screen with a Gorilla Glass Case and a spill-resistant keyboard.

With all these specs it seems that Acer’s customers are right claiming this as the best Chromebook, and it will cost just $349.

Liquid Cooling?

At this point you might be asking “what happened to the cooling fan?” well, the Switch Alpha 12 notebook don’t have one, but instead, it got liquid cooling, so say goodbye to the noise and prepare for the silent operation that this notebook offers to businessman, scholars and the rest of the customers.

What else does the Switch Alpha 12 notebook get? Integrated with Microsoft’s Windows 10 OS, also the 6G Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 processors, a 12-inch In-Plane Switching touch-screen display (2,160 pixels X 1,440 Pixels) – hence the 12 on the name–, an Intel HD Graphics 520 video memory, Acer’s LiquidLoop, 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM memory, and a storage where you can choose from 128GB, 256GB or 512GB. But how much will this PC be worth? They will be introduced on May, and for just $599.

What about the other notebooks?

The Chromebook and the Switch Alpha sound really amazing, but what about the others? Well, let’s start with the Aspire S 13 Notebook.

This one got a 13-inch full HD touchscreen with about 10 points touch display, 6G Intel processors, up to 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and the friendly Windows 10 OS. With a weight of just 2.86 pounds, it also includes a 2×2 Multi-User MIMO Wi-Fi and a precision touchpad. This one will be at the starting price of $699 on May.

The next one on the list is the Aspire R 15, which features a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display, 6G Intel Core processors, up to 12GB of DDR4 RAM memory and graphics processors up to the NVidia GeForce 940MX.

The TravelMate P658 is from Acer’s commercial line, this one got a 15-inch screen, and also it features the latest 802.11ad gigabit Wi-Fi and the optional Acer ProDock Wireless docking station.
